Both the geometry and strength are compromised due to over articulating the stock arms. We solved these problems by designing our upper control arms with increased castor and repositioned pivot angles reducing stress on the joints. The increased castor allows for proper alignment and improved handling. We also replaced the weak factory ball joints with 1” stainless steel uniballs for maximum strength and increased articulation. For the inner pivots we use durable urethane bushings with grease fittings for easy servicing. To mount the arms to the spindle we include high grade 17-4 stainless steel misalignment spacers and military grade F911 hardware. All of the components on our upper control arms are rebuild-able or replaceable to make this product last a lifetime. The coilovers can be installed with one of the following options, sway bar, bump stops, or bypass shocks. We offer a sway bar kit that adapts our long travel kit to work with the factory sway bar. This will give the vehicle similar on road driving characteristics to stock with minimal sacrifice to the suspension systems performance. The next option is installing bump stops. They will help dampen hard impacts and are cost effective but on the other hand are often noisy. The last option is most commonly used. Adding bypass shocks will fine tune the damping throughout the suspension cycle. To mount the bypasses we offer a weld on bypass shock hoop kit (DK-811910) that can be purchased separately. The bypass shock hoop kit requires welding and modifications to the frame. For extreme off-roading the kit has the ability to accept bump stops along with the coil overs and bypasses.
